A challenge from my art society made me consider subject matter I'd never the thought of before. I could hear my art teacher's voice from many years ago saying to us "There is even beauty in manhole covers!" She was right. There is beauty everywhere if we but have the eyes to see it!
About Denise Hoag
The love of Art began for Denise as a child; drawing on anything and everything. After four years of Fashion Design study, she began creating Wearable Art and teaching workshops on fun, rebellious sewing techniques. Denise's Wearable Art Garments have exhibited worldwide with the Bernina & Fairfield Fashion Shows. Denise then discovered a new love: painting with acrylics. She says: "Being free to paint feels like a bird being let out of a cage." So she freed her parakeets and they fly free with her in "The Soaring Peacock Studio". There she also shares her love with children teaching them Art and encouraging them to explore their creativity.
