Underwater Splendor I came as a result of a class I was teaching and I wanted to show my students that you can't go wrong with the creative process in an underwater scene. Heavenly Father obviously has a sense of humour, as there are some creatures which do look really silly. It was created using freemotion applique, freemotion detailing and freemotion quilting techniques.
About Denise Hoag
The love of Art began for Denise as a child; drawing on anything and everything. After four years of Fashion Design study, she began creating Wearable Art and teaching workshops on fun, rebellious sewing techniques. Denise's Wearable Art Garments have exhibited worldwide with the Bernina & Fairfield Fashion Shows. Denise then discovered a new love: painting with acrylics. She says: "Being free to paint feels like a bird being let out of a cage." So she freed her parakeets and they fly free with her in "The Soaring Peacock Studio". There she also shares her love with children teaching them Art and encouraging them to explore their creativity.
